Sychronous Fireflies occur across the southeast, but they put on a special courtship ritual where they all flash in unison like a strobe light in a Miami night club! After mating the females lay their eggs and the larvae hatch and live in the leaf litter for two whole years before emerging as adults and take part in the big dance.
